How Does this work? / FAQs

Waivers, Waivers, Waivers
-
Please complete and submit your waiver here , This waiver will remain on file and be valid for one year.
-
Everything here is pretty safe, but there is some sharp stuff, some hot stuff and some spinning stuff
-
-
How many visitors can the space accommodate
-
Currently we're capping attendance to 8 creators plus caregivers. Please indicate number of creators in your party at the time of booking. We may increase this as we learn more.
-
-
What's the deal with booking?
-
It's a loose reservation. If you decide to visit, book online to the nearest hour of your arrival.
-
You're welcome to stop by without booking. If we don't have bookings that would put us at capacity, you're in.
-
The booking helps us setup the space according to what you're into. And to help us communicate our status relative to our max capacity back to you

I've got a family with little ones. Can my whole family come?
-
yes-ish. We don't specifically cater to the little ones. But as long as you're supervising them and they're content you're welcome to bring them. We have basic crafts, drawing, etc. that will help keep them entertained. Beta testing shows they do pretty well.
-
Do I have to pay for them? Judgement call here. If they're using a bunch of resources, yes please. If they're not, then no. I'm also fine with somewhere between zero and full price, your call.
-
-
What about drop-offs?
-
yes-ish as well ! If you have a reasonably respectful kiddo, it's no problem. Go do errands or get your hair cut while your kid crafts. Just know that we reserve the right to call you back for pickup if they become unruly

-
Food
-
We have snacks and drinks available for purchase including coffee. You're also free to bring your own food (small items) too. NO NUTS though please.
-
-
Can I book specific activities at the space?
-
Not really. I like to think of the space like a gym. You're really into arms and abs, but you should really work the legs and back too (also, I don't go to the gym--- only assuming this is true)
-
We want to keep the activities open to encourage interactions and trying things outside one's comfort zones. If you're supervising, please try to be respectful of other's interests at the space
-
The better y'all can do this, the easier it will be to keep the pricing and planning simple. Don't make me charge $50 per laptop hour!
-
-
-
Can I bring my own supplies?
-
Yes, and yes please!! Some examples:
-
Specific blanks like tee shirts, bags, mugs tumblers etc.
-
Specific design for 3D printing
-
Bulk materials for sign cutting
-
etc.
-
-
-
Can adults play too?
-
100% yes. Make alongside your family.
-
PS we also just purchased a pretty sweet racing simulator rig (if you want to not make alongside your family)

Birthday Parties?

Yessir (yessma'am)... We're working on a few packages, but would prefer to curate an experience suited to your kid
-
Contact us and we'll make it happen
-

Facilities
-
We're cramming tons of fun into ~1200 sqft
-
We have a kitchenette with a refrigerator and sink
-
We have a single non-ADA compliant bathroom
-
Our entrance also has 3 steps, so again non-ADA compliant
-
We plan to make the entrance ADA compliant, but the bathroom ADA compliance is a longer term item
-
-
If all goes well (looking at you-- potential revenue generating client), we hope to expand into our 600sqft+ unfinished space with (firstly) a tool library
-
-
Classes? Membership?
-
Probably on both fronts. Just not yet. Looking into potential classes to cater to home school families
-
as well as classes for specific workflows like: (1) 3D design --> 3D printing, (2) lasering, (3) Minecraft programming/customization
-
-
Can I bring my own computer/device?
-
Tough one here. To start I'd appreciate it if you used the facility provided hardware and software. A bunch of reasons for this:
-
First and foremost: Security- we don't want our network to be exposed to potential threats
-
Secondly and most important for staff sanity: We can't effectively troubleshoot your stuff if/when it doesn't work
-
-
Hoping to relax this eventually, but bear with us.
-
-
Doesn't seem like your hours support after school participation. Why?
-
Great question. We definitely want and need to be open after school hours during school season. Make.Believe. is currently a one-person operation, and said person still has family obligations.
-
Eventually we'll bring on staff to properly support after school activities. Do you know anyone who would be a good candidate?
