Service Description

================= Policy: Parents are required to stay for this class (for now). But your whole family is welcome. Under parents and children under 3 are free. Non-participating children over 3 years old are $5, they are free to use available facility tools/equipment. - Parents: Free - Under age of 3: Free - Over age of 3: $5. Free to use the facility materials and crafts ================= Learn about: -Electrical conduction and insulation -Open and closed circuit/switches - Basics of various equipment a Make. Believe. The Fun stuff: - Craft your own working computer input device: Game controller, musical instrument, etc. using our equipment. For the older or more experienced: - Use Scratch coding to code the various inputs. Make your own basic game for your controller! Example: - My daughter designed a guitar. Whiteboard drafts, final design on the cardboard - She used the cardboard Chompsaw to accurately cut the design - She added the contacts and wired the Makey. Makey. - She made an accent design (not shown) and we engraved and cut it on the xTool laser cutter/engraver Duration: - 1 hr structured: Class and making - 1 hr unstructured: Free time Leave With: - Pictures and memories :) - We need the electronics back (microcontroller and wires), but you're free to take your creation home minus the electronics
